First Fiqh Conference of North America
May 1, 2, 3 & 4, 2009
at the
Islamic Foundation of Toronto

Aim & Objective of Fiqh Conference
The objective of the 'First Fiqh Conference of North America' is to allow North American Ulama, Imams & religous leadership to benifit from the vast knowledge and experiences of world renowned scholars on contemporary issues challenging North American Muslims. The scholars invited are diverse in schools of thought and backrounds, hence bringing various perspectives to the table. The panel of invited scholars may recommend various islamic solutions to the issues at hand. The local North American Ulama and Imams may consider accepting some of the proposals by the visiting Shuyookh, hence forming a united decision for North American Muslims. We do understand that there are individual imams or organizations who may not wish to agree to a unified recommendation on certain issues based on Islamic academic perspectives. However, we do invite North American Ulama and Imams to attend the forum and benifit from the knowledge of the visiting guests and their intellectual discussions.
Attendance is by Special Invite Only.
This conference is not for the general public.
Only to be attended by invited North American Imams, Islamic scholars and selected community leaders. Special arrangements have been made also for sisters who are Aalimah and religous scholars.
