Words of Wisdom

The Prophet used to start everything from the right (for good things) whenever it was possible in all his affairs; for example: in washing, combing or wearing shoes. (Al-Bukhari 1.418)

Waiting List Policy (2010/11)

If and when a seat becomes available in any grade, the following will be given priority:
  1. With the $25.00 registration fee, your child’s name can be on the waiting list for one year. Additional $25.00 per year will register your child on the waiting list for a maximum of four years.

  2. Only 50 applicants from SK to Grade 12, and 150 applicants for JK will be maintained on the waiting list for up to a maximum of four years.

  3. The children of the IFS full time teachers who have applied for admissions will be given first consideration provided

    a) They receive required percentages in the admission test.
    b) Meet all other admission requirements.

  4. Apart from the above category, qualified students from the waiting list will be admitted in the order of ranking and as seats become available. Only selected students will be called by the school office for the admission process. Phone calls will be made on home phone numbers only, unless otherwise requested. All other applicants must contact the office to know the status of their application.

  5. JK students will be sent a letter of admission from the waiting list in order of their registration dates, until the JK classes are full.

  6. SK and Grade 1 will be called from the waiting list in order of their registration dates and seats availability.

  7. Grades 2 to 12 will write Entrance Tests. A minimum score of 65% is required.

  8. Then, admission will be offered in order of ranking based on Entrance Test results and seats availability.

  9. The parent/guardian will be notified only when the student is offered the admission. Failure to accept admission within the specified time will result in the cancellation of the admission.

  10. All new students will be granted admission on a probationary basis, from one month to one year based on their academic performance as well as good conduct. Special needs children cannot be accommodated as we have no Special Ed. facilities. IFS reserves the right to revoke admission of a probationary student any time without prior warning to the parents.

  11. Photocopied documents must be verified against the originals. Providing false information will result in cancellation of admission.

  12. Parents must show a fee receipt and a copy of the original form to justify their claims of registration. Failure to do so will nullify their claim.
