Evening Hifz

Excellence in Religious Education

Our Mission

Evening Hifz is committed to providing students with excellent Islamic education according to the Qur’an and Sunnah, based on high moral and ethical values in an Islamic environment while they memorize the Qur'an.

An Islamic environment is defined as a place in which students receive instruction and guidance with sound moral values and a place in which dedication to Allah (SWT) is nurtured.

Our Vision

Evening Hifz aims to assist students in completing the Hifz-Ul Qur'an on a part-time basis, along with a focus on Tajweed and Tarteel with the guidance of experienced teachers.

We seek to develop a positive Muslim identity in each student, nurturing their spiritual, physical, and intellectual growth for success in today's world while upholding true Islamic values and establishing a strong commitment to their faith, family, community, and humanity.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q. HOW WILL I KNOW ABOUT UPCOMING EVENTS AT THE IFT EVENING SCHOOL?

A. There are multiple ways to keep informed of upcoming events. Emails will be sent out periodically with any important notices or reminders. Notices and reminders will also be posted in the Evening Madressah section of the Islamic Foundation website, insha-Allah.

Q. WHAT DO I NEED TO KNOW ABOUT VISITING THE SCHOOL?

A. We take educating your child seriously and try to keep distractions to a minimum. As such, we request that all parents arrange an appointment with their child's teacher either before or after class if you would like to have a meeting.

Some children, especially those new to the school, may cry and get upset when arriving for class. Parents may soothe their child outside the classroom but should not come inside in fairness to all students.

Q. HOW OFTEN WILL I RECEIVE INFORMATION ON MY CHILD'S PROGRESS?

A. Report Cards are distributed twice a year: mid-term and at the end of the year. Parents are encouraged to contact their child's teacher any time they have a question or concern. Parent/teacher communication is vital for the success of your child.

The agenda is also an important communication tool and should be checked and signed daily.

Q. WHO WILL CONTACT ME WHEN MY CHILD IS HAVING DIFFICULTY?

A. If your child is experiencing academic difficulties, the classroom teacher will contact you.

Q. WHEN WILL MY MONEY BE DEDUCTED FROM MY BANK ACCOUNT?

A. Fees will be deducted from the bank account between the 8th and the 15th of every month, from January to December, excluding the month of Ramadaan.

Q. WHAT WILL I NEED TO DO IF I WISH TO REMOVE MY CHILD FROM THE pART-TIME HIFZ PROGRAM?

A. Parents who wish to remove their child from the Evening Madressah will need to complete a “Withdrawal Form” and submit it before the 5th of the month in order to put a stop on the withdrawals of fees. Parents may also email us at [email protected] to notify us of a withdrawal. Verbally informing the teacher or office is not enough.

Q. WHAT HAPPENS IN THE EVENT OF BAD WEATHER?

A. In the event of a school closure due to bad weather, a notice will be posted on our website and an email will be sent, notifying of a school closure. Insha-Allah, parents will also receive a call home whenever possible informing of the cancellation of school.
